Seven killed in Afghan car bomb attack

At least seven people, including five police officers, were killed and 19 injured Sunday in a car bomb attack on the police headquarters in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, BBC reported.

At least 19 people were wounded in the blast in a car park outside the police building, said the provincial government.

One resident described hearing a "heavy explosion" that shook windows followed by several minutes of gunfire.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
