BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.28 percent to 3,221.45 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.8 percent lower at 10,822.09 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 920.8 billion yuan (about 130.42 billion U.S. dollars), up from 820.5 billion on the previous trading day.
Shares in the sectors of brain-computer interface and online games led the gains, while those related to e-commerce and automotive vehicles suffered the biggest losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.14 percent to close at 2,203.84 points.
