NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Walmart on Thursday reported strong third-quarter results as its global e-commerce business surged.
The retail giant posted a total revenue of 179.5 billion U.S. dollars in the quarter ended Oct. 31, up 5.8 percent year over year, with its global e-commerce sales growing 27 percent.
Walmart also raised its outlook for fiscal year 2026, projecting net sales growth of 4.8 to 5.1 percent and adjusted operating income growth of 4.8 to 5.5 percent, both in constant currency.
"The team delivered another strong quarter across the business. eCommerce was a bright spot again this quarter. We're gaining market share, improving delivery speed, and managing inventory well," Walmart President and CEO Doug McMillon said.
Walmart has announced plans to move its stock listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq next month, underscoring the company's push to position itself as a tech-forward retailer amid intensifying competition with Amazon.
