The young, talented, up-and-coming coach brings 11 years of NFL experience as both a player and as a coach to Philadelphia.

The Eagles conducted an extensive search looking for the right man to head up the team's offense for the 2026 season and on Thursday they announced that they've found their man: former Green Bay Packers Quarterbacks Coach Sean Mannion.
"I'm thrilled to have Sean Mannion on board as the new offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles," Head Coach Nick Sirianni said. "My goal throughout this process was to operate with an open mind regarding the future of our offense to find the best fit for the Eagles. Over the last few weeks, I had an opportunity to meet with a number of talented candidates and great offensive minds. I am appreciative of the time I was able to spend with each of them. Some came with years of experience running an offense and calling plays. Others were young, sharp, and dynamic coaches on the rise. I felt it was important to be patient and thorough to allow the right fit to reveal himself to us. Sean did just that.
"It was quickly apparent in meeting with Sean that he is a bright young coach with a tremendous future ahead of him in this league. I was impressed by his systematic views on offensive football and his strategic approach. Sean's 11 years in the NFL have provided him a great opportunity to learn from and grow alongside some of the best coaches in the game. As a result, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to our team moving forward. I can't wait to see Sean with our team, and I want to welcome him and his wife, Megan, to the Eagles family."
A former Pac-12 record-setting quarterback at Oregon State who played in the NFL for nine seasons with the Rams, Vikings, and Seahawks, Mannion brings with him a history of innovation working with quarterbacks like Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, and Nick Foles.

Once Mannion's playing career ended in 2023, he moved right into the coaching world, joining Green Bay as an offensive assistant working primarily with quarterbacks Jordan Love and Malik Willis.
Some notes on Mannion, who is known in NFL circles as a talented, young, up-and-coming coach:
The Eagles cast a wide net looking for the right man. They entered the process with an open mind and were in no rush to complete the process, intent more in doing it the right way.
During the last couple of weeks, the team was able to hear and learn from an array of impressive offensive minds from around the league, and with the hire of Mannion they have another bright, young mind to work with a talented group of offensive players and coaching staff who brings a different offensive background to lead the group in Philadelphia.
Mannion threw for 13,600 yards in his Oregon State career, which ranked eighth in NCAA history at the time of his graduation. He understands the value of the passing game and it was evident in Green Bay, where Love and the Packers had a productive, explosive attack that forced defenses to cover sideline to sideline and respect all phases of the attack.
A fast-rising coach in the NFL, Mannion leads an Eagles offense that has talent and experience in every aspect and now embarks with a new vision and a new man, bringing an aggressive and high-scoring scheme to Philadelphia.
