The Miami Dolphins today announced the complete 2026 coaching staff under new Head Coach Jeff Hafley.
Miami's staff featuresBobby Slowikas offensive coordinator,Sean Dugganas defensive coordinator andChris Taboras special teams coordinator. In addition to Slowik, who was the team's senior pass game coordinator in 2025, the Dolphins have five returning coaches:Joe Barry,Austin Clark, Lemuel Jeanpierre,Jonathan KrauseandDeShawn Shead.

Offense:
Slowikenters his second season with the Dolphins and has been promoted to offensive coordinator. He was the team's senior pass game coordinator in 2025. Slowik has 12 years of NFL coaching experience. Prior to joining the Dolphins, Slowik served as offensive coordinator with Houston for two seasons (2023-24), where he helped the Texans reach the Divisional Round of the postseason in back-to-back years for only the second time in franchise history. In his first season as Houston's offensive coordinator, Slowik directed an offense that ranked in the top half of the league in total offense (342.4 yards per game), while finishing seventh in passing yards per game (245.5). That year, Slowik oversaw the development of the rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and helped him compose a historic rookie season, leading the NFL in pass yards per game (273.9) and being named the 2023 PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year. Slowik spent six seasons in San Francisco, where he served as passing game coordinator (2022), passing game specialist (2021), offensive assistant (2019-20) and defensive quality control (2017-18). During his time in San Francisco, the 49ers made three playoff appearances (2019, 2021, 2022), winning the NFC Championship Game in 2019 and advancing to Super Bowl LIV. Slowik started his coaching career as a defensive assistant in Washington (2011-13).
Applebaumreturns to Miami as assistant offensive line coach after previously serving as offensive line coach in 2022. He has 18 years of coaching experience, primarily at the offensive line position. He spent the past three seasons (2023-25) as Boston College's offensive line coach. It was his second stint with the Eagles after previously serving in the same role in 2020 and 2021. Applebaum was responsible for producing 16 All-ACC selections during both of his stops at Boston College, seven during his first stint and nine in his second. Applebaum's previous NFL coaching stops include Jacksonville (2014) and Washington (2008-10).
Bettsjoins the Dolphins as running backs coach. He has 13 years of coaching experience across the NFL, collegiate and high school levels. He most recently served as the running backs coach for the New York Giants in 2025, where he helped the team finish fifth in rushing yards per game (129.1). Betts also spent four seasons in the same role at Iowa (2021-24). Betts spent five seasons at Pine Crest High School in Fort Lauderdale, where he served as offensive coordinator (2016-18) and head coach (2019-20). He also served as offensive coordinator at Boca Raton High School (2014-15) and was the running backs coach at Coral Springs Christian Academy in 2013.
Hamdanjoins the Dolphins as quarterbacks coach, bringing 17 years of coaching experience. He comes to Miami after a brief stint at Mississippi State as associate head coach for offense. He previously served as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Kentucky for two seasons (2024-25) and one season (2023) at Boise State. Hamdan coached quarterbacks for three seasons (2020-22) at Missouri, while also coaching wide receivers in 2020 and 2021. He spent four seasons at Washington, serving offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2018 and 2019, wide receivers/pass game coordinator in 2016 and offensive quality control coach in 2015. Hamdan spent the 2017 season with the Atlanta Falcons as quarterbacks coach, where he helped the Falcons advance to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He served as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Davidson in 2014 and co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Arkansas State in 2013. He coached wide receivers at Florida in 2012, tight ends at Sacramento State in 2011 and served as an offensive quality control coach at Maryland in 2010. Hamdan started his coaching career at Colorado in 2009 as a student assistant.
Jeanpierreenters his seventh season with the Dolphins. He serves as the team's assistant tight ends coach after spending the previous six seasons with the offensive line. He joined the team in 2020 and has served as assistant offensive line coach (2020, 2022-25) and offensive line coach (2021). Jeanpierre began his coaching career with Seattle (2017) before spending two seasons with the Oakland Raiders (2018-19). Prior to coaching, he played seven seasons in the NFL with Seattle (2010-15) and Detroit (2016), and played in Seattle's Super Bowl XLVIII victory over Denver in 2014.
Krauseenters his third season with Miami and sixth in the NFL. He joined the Dolphins as an offensive assistant in 2023 before being promoted to his current position of assistant wide receivers coach in 2024. Prior to his time with Miami, Krause spent six seasons coaching at the collegiate level with Oregon (2018-20), UNLV (2021-22) and San Diego State (2023).
Middletonjoins the Dolphins as tight ends coach. He has 28 years of coaching experience, primarily at the tight end position, including 15 in the NFL. Middleton most recently served as the tight ends coach for the New York Jets from 2021 to 2024. Prior to New York, he was the tight ends coach with Jacksonville (2013-20), where he also served as an assistant special teams coach in his first three seasons with the team (2013-15). Middleton helped the Jaguars clinch the AFC South and reach the AFC Championship Game in 2017. He also coached tight ends and was an assistant special teams coach with Tampa Bay from 2004 to 2006. Middleton spent 13 seasons at the collegiate level, beginning his career at Troy, where he worked as a tight ends coach and assisted with the offensive tackles (1997-98). He spent five seasons at Ole Miss, first as the tight ends coach (1999-2001) and then as the running backs/special teams coordinator (2002-03), one season at Alabama as the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator (2007), and five seasons at Duke (2008-12), where he was the associate head coach/special teams coordinator/tight ends coach. Middleton played 10 seasons in the NFL and won Super Bowl XXVI with Washington.
Patullojoins the Dolphins as passing game coordinator, bringing more than 20 years of experience to Miami, including 16 in the NFL. He spent the past five seasons with Philadelphia (2021-25), where he served as passing game coordinator (2021-22), passing game coordinator/associate head coach (2023-24) and offensive coordinator (2025). Patullo helped the Eagles reach the playoffs in each of his five seasons with the team, capturing the NFC title twice (2022 and 2024) and winning Super Bowl LIX. He spent three seasons with Indianapolis (2018-20) as wide receivers coach (2018-19) and pass game specialist (2020). He coached the quarterbacks with the New York Jets (2015-16) and was an assistant wide receivers coach with Tennessee (2014). He also spent time with Buffalo (2010-12) and Kansas City (2007-08). He started his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at South Florida (2003-04) and later spent time at Arizona (2004-06). He returned to the collegiate level for one season in 2017, when he served as a senior offensive analyst at Texas A&M.
Tolbertjoins the Dolphins as wide receivers coach, bringing more than three decades of coaching experience to Miami. He has served as wide receivers coach with Tennessee (2024-25), Chicago (2022-23), the New York Giants (2018-21), Denver (2011-17), Carolina (2010), Buffalo (2004-09) and Arizona (2003). Tolbert also served as passing game coordinator during his time with the Bears and won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos. He has coached nine different wide receivers to 17 total 1,000-yard seasons and eight Pro Bowl selections. Prior to his start in the NFL, Tolbert spent nine years at the collegiate level. He was the tight ends coach at Florida (2002), Auburn (1998) and Northeast Louisiana (1995-97). He also coached wide receivers at Louisiana (1999-01) and Ohio (1995). Tolbert got his start as a graduate assistant at LSU in the spring of 1994 and served in the same capacity at Northeast Louisiana later that fall.
Wallacejoins the Dolphins as an offensive assistant. He has 11 years of coaching experience across the NFL, collegiate and high school levels. He most recently served as assistant tight ends coach at Auburn (2025) after spending two seasons with Houston (2023-24), where he was an offensive quality control coach. He was part of a Texans staff that helped Houston reach the Divisional Round of the postseason in back-to-back years for only the second time in franchise history. Before joining the coaching staff, he held various roles in the Texans football operations department since 2021. Prior to his time in Houston, Wallace coached for seven seasons at the high school level in Alabama, serving as the wide receivers and passing game coordinator for Hewitt-Trussville High School (2018-21), the wide receivers coach for Deshler High School (2017-18) and the offensive coordinator for Hatton High School (2015-17).
Yenserjoins the Dolphins as offensive line coach. He has 19 years of coaching experience across the NFL, collegiate and high school levels. He served as an assistant offensive line coach with Houston (2024-25) and San Francisco (2019-21), helping four players combine for five Pro Bowl selections: T Laremy Tunsil (2024), T Trent Williams (2020-21), C Alex Mack (2021) and G Laken Tomlinson (2021). Yenser coached the offensive line at various collegiate programs, including Kentucky (2022-23), Kansas (2015-17), California (2013-14) and Louisiana Tech (2010-12). He also served as run game coordinator during this time with the Jayhawks.
Defense:
Dugganjoins the Dolphins as defensive coordinator, bringing more than 10 years of coaching experience to Miami. He spent the previous two seasons with Green Bay (2024-25), serving as a defensive assistant in 2024 and linebackers coach in 2025. During that span, the Packers ranked ninth in both total defense (313.2 yards per game) and run defense (108.5 rushing yards per game), and sixth in yards allowed per carry (4.1). Duggan coached linebackers at Boston College for four seasons (2020-23), while also serving as co-defensive coordinator in 2023. He was a graduate assistant at Ohio State (2019) and coached the linebackers at Hawai'i (2016-17) and Massachusetts (2017-18). He started his coaching career at Boston College as a defensive graduate assistant in 2015.
Addaejoins the Dolphins as defensive backs/cornerbacks coach. He has 17 years of coaching experience, primarily in the secondary. He most recently served as cornerbacks coach with Buffalo (2024-25), where he helped the Bills lead the NFL in passing defense (156.9 yards allowed per game) in 2025. Prior to Buffalo, Addae spent 17 seasons coaching at the collegiate level, including two seasons as the secondary coach at Miami (2022-23) and one as a defensive backs coach at Georgia (2021), where he helped the Bulldogs win the national championship.
Barryenters his third season with the Dolphins and his 25th in the NFL. He serves as the team's run game coordinator/senior defensive assistant after spending his first two years with the Dolphins as linebackers coach/run game coordinator. During his time in Miami, he has worked with linebacker Jordyn Brooks, who led the NFL in tackles in 2025 and was named first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. Barry has 31 years of coaching experience, including seven as an NFL defensive coordinator most recently with the Green Bay Packers (2021-23). He won Super Bowl XXXVII with Tampa Bay in 2002 and reached Super Bowl LIII with the L.A. Rams in 2018. Throughout his career, he has mentored seven different players to 11 Pro Bowl appearances and nine All-Pro selections, including Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks.
Clarkenters his seventh season with the Dolphins and continues to serve as the team's defensive line coach. He joined Miami as outside linebackers coach in 2020 before being named to his current role in 2021. Throughout his time in Miami, Clark has coached several key defensive linemen, including defensive tackle Zach Sieler. Sieler recorded back-to-back seasons with 10.0 sacks (2023-24), setting the franchise mark for most sacks by a defensive tackle in a single season. Miami's defense ranked 10th in total defense in 2023 (318.3 yards allowed per game) and improved to fourth in 2024 (314.4 yards allowed per game), marking the franchise's best finish since 2010. Clark also has four years of collegiate coaching experience, having spent time at Southern California (2016-17) and Illinois (2018-19).
Davisjoins the Dolphins as an assistant linebackers coach. He has more than 15 years of coaching experience, including seven in the NFL. He most recently served as a defensive quality control coach with Green Bay (2019-25), where he had been a part of staffs that helped the Packers rank eighth in the NFL in scoring defense (21.1 points per game) during that span, in addition to making six postseason appearances and clinching three NFC North titles. Prior to Green Bay, Davis served as a graduate assistant for three seasons at Georgia (2016-18), helping the Bulldogs reach two SEC Championship Games (2017 and 2018) and the national championship game (2017). He spent one season as a defensive football analyst at Texas (2015), where he worked with the defensive line. Davis also coached the linebackers at Texas A&M University-Commerce (2013-14) and West Texas A&M (2010-12).
Diabatejoins the Dolphins as a defensive quality control coach. He has 13 years of coaching experience, all at the collegiate level. He most recently served as run game coordinator/linebackers coach at Connecticut for four seasons (2022-25). He coached the linebackers at Middle Tennessee (2017-21) and Syracuse (2013-14), and the safeties at Colgate (2015-16). Diabate has participated in the NFL's Minority Internship Program, spending time with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.
Downardjoins the Dolphins as defensive backs/passing game coordinator. He has 12 years of coaching experience, including 10 in the NFL. He spent the past eight seasons with Green Bay (2018-25), where he served as defensive backs coach (2023-25), safeties coach (2022), assistant defensive backs coach (2019-21) and defensive quality control coach (2018). Downard helped Green Bay rank in the top 10 in total defense in four consecutive seasons from 2020 to 2023, while it finished fifth in total defense (314.5 yards allowed per game) in 2024. He also served as a defensive assistant with Cleveland (2014-15) and was the safeties coach at Bowling Green in 2017.
Nduluejoins the Dolphins as an assistant defensive line coach. He has nine years of coaching experience, including one season in the same role with the Los Angeles Chargers (2025). He served as an assistant defensive line coach at Colorado State (2024), New Mexico State (2022-23) and Southern Illinois (2019-21). He also worked with the defensive line as a graduate assistant at Nebraska (2018) and as a volunteer assistant at Oklahoma (2017).
Sheadenters his third season with the Dolphins and his sixth as an NFL coach. He serves as the team's assistant defensive backs/nickels coach, having worked with the defensive backs the previous two years. In his first year with Miami in 2024, Shead help the Dolphins finish fourth in the NFL in total defense, holding opponents to 314.4 yards per game. Shead began his coaching career in Seattle, where he spent three seasons (2021-23) working with the defensive backs. As a player, Shead spent seven seasons at cornerback with Seattle (2012-17) and Detroit (2018). He won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013 with the Seahawks.
Washingtonjoins the Dolphins as linebackers coach. He has 19 years of coaching experience, primarily at defensive line and linebacker. He most recently served as the defensive line coach and run game coordinator at Notre Dame (2022-25), where he helped the Irish reach the College Football Playoff in consecutive seasons (2024 and 2025) and the national championship game (2025). He coached the linebackers for three seasons at Ohio State (2019-21), where he helped the Buckeyes make back-to-back CFP appearances (2019 and 2020), while reaching the title game in 2020. He also served as linebackers coach at Michigan (2018) and coached the defensive line at Cincinnati (2017). Washington spent five seasons at Boston College (2012-16), where he coached the defensive line (2012 and 2016) and the running backs (2013-15), in addition to serving as a special teams assistant in 2012. He also coached at Elon (2011), Slippery Rock (2009-10), NC State (2008) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2007).
Special Teams:
Taborjoins the Dolphins as special teams coordinator, bringing three decades of coaching experience to Miami, including 17 in the NFL and 14 as a coordinator. He has served as special teams coordinator with Buffalo (2025), Carolina (2022-23), Chicago (2018-21) and Cleveland (2011-17). In his most recent stop in 2025, Tabor helped Buffalo rank fourth in yards per kickoff return (27.9) and eighth in field goal percentage (90.5%), despite having three different kickers. Additionally, Tabor's unit was one of only six in the league to return a kickoff for a touchdown in 2025. In Carolina in 2022, Tabor mentored punter Johnny Hekker who led the league in punts inside the 20 (39), while kicker Eddy Pieiro ranked second in field goal percentage (94.3%). He also coached a return specialist to the Pro Bowl in each of his seasons as coordinator in Chicago and helped numerous players set NFL and franchise records during his time in Cleveland. Tabor got his start in the NFL as a special teams assistant with the Bears in 2008. Prior to the NFL, Tabor spent 13 years at the collegiate level coaching various positions on the offensive side of the ball in addition to special teams. He coached at Western Michigan (2006-07), Utah State (2002-05) and Missouri (1997-2000). He was also the offensive coordinator at Central Methodist (1995-96) and the head coach at Culver-Stockton (2000).
Olivojoins the Dolphins as an assistant special teams coach. He has 19 years of coaching experience, including six in the NFL. He served as special teams coordinator with Denver (2017), assistant special teams coach with Chicago (2018-19) and assistant special teams coordinator with Kansas City (2014-16). Olivo has also had several stints at the collegiate level, the USFL and the Italian Football League in various offensive coaching roles in addition to special teams. He most recently served as a special teams analyst at Missouri (2023-25) after coaching the tight ends at Washington University in St. Louis (2022) and had previously coached the running backs and special teams at Coastal Carolina (2012-13). He has also made stops with the Philadelphia Stars (2022) and the Omaha Nighthawks (2011) of the USFL. In Italy, he was the head coach of the Lazio Marines (2009-11) and the Italy National American Football Team (2010-11), where he later also served as an assistant coach in 2021. He started his coaching career as the offensive and special teams coordinator of the Bologna Warriors (2007-09).
Eubanksjoins the Dolphins as a special teams assistant. He has nine years of coaching experience, primarily on the defensive side of the ball. He spent the 2025 season at Georgia Tech coaching the linebackers after spending the previous two seasons at Georgia Southern as secondary coach (2023) and linebackers/run game coordinator (2024). He coached the defensive backs at Liberty (2022) and the safeties at Georgia State (2021) after spending three seasons at Samford, where he worked as the defensive backs/co-special teams coordinator (2020) and safeties coach (2018-19). He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Arkansas (2017). Eubanks participated in the NFL Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, spending time with the Dolphins during the offseason in 2024.
