Top-seeded Mirra Andreeva won her second WTA title of the season by rallying for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over unseeded local competitor Anastasia Potapova in the championship match of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz on Sunday.
It's the fifth overall WTA singles title for the 18-year-old Russian after she won the Adelaide International in January. Potapova, who changed her sporting nationality from Russian to Austrian ahead of the 2026 season, was denied her second title at the tournament in four years, but was still the first Austrian player to reach the Linz final since it became a WTA Tour event in 1991.
Andreeva was sloppy early in Sunday's final, winning just one of her eight second-serve points in the first set and failing to save any of the three break-point opportunities she faced on her serve.
She bounced back and faced just two break points in the final two sets. While she lost both of them, Andreeva made up the difference by breaking Potapova five times in 11 opportunities over the second and third sets. Andreeva had a 32-30 edge in winners.
Andreeva improved to 3-1 all-time vs. Potapova with her third straight victory in the series. She's now 9-0 this year against players ranked outside the top 50 in the WTA rankings.
