Jacob Misiorowski threw six shutout innings to lift the visiting Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs Tuesday.
Misiorowski (4-2) allowed only three hits and struck out eight with one walk on 74 pitches.
The big right-hander has 24 1/3 straight shutout innings over four starts.
Abner Uribe threw a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.
The Brewers will go for the three-game sweep Wednesday.
Cubs starter Ben Brown (1-2) gave up three runs and seven hits in five innings. The right-hander walked two and struck out six on 82 pitches.
The Brewers jumped out 1-0 in the first when Brice Turang drew a one-out walk and went to second when William Contreras singled.
After Christian Yelich struck out, Garrett Mitchell singled to right to bring in Turang.
Milwaukee added to the lead in the third when Jackson Chourio and Turang led off with singles.
Chourio went to third when Contreras grounded into a fielder's choice and he scored on a Brown wild pitch.
Mitchell drew a two-out walk before Jake Bauers singled in Contreras for a 3-0 Brewers lead.
Bauers has reached base in 20 straight games.
The Cubs' best chance came in the first when Nico Hoerner drew a leadoff walk and Michael Busch reached on an error.
Misiorowski, however, forced Alex Bregman to fly out to center and then struck out Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki to shut down the threat.
The 24-year-old scattered three hits over the next five innings and did not allow the Cubs to get a runner to second base.
The Cubs matched a season high with 13 strikeouts.
Turang put it away in the eighth when he hit a two-out, two-run home run for a five-run Milwaukee lead.
The Cubs finally broke through in the eighth when Pete Crow-Armstrong led off with a single and went to third when Miguel Amaya hit a ground-rule double into the ivy in left.
Hoerner singled in Crow-Armstrong for the first Cubs run.
Suzuki cut the lead to three when he hit a bases-loaded, two-out shot off Luis Rengifo's glove at third to bring in Amaya.
Chad Patrick, however, came on to induce pinch-hitter Michael Conforto into a fielder's choice to end the inning.
