Big B appeared to stay up late to catch the high-stakes encounter, which kicked off around 3:30 am IST. The match turned into one of the biggest thrillers of the tournament, with defending champions Argentina edging past Cabo Verde 3-2 after extra time at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Amid the nail-biting contest, Bachchan took to X to express his excitement. Posting what appeared to be a live reaction during the game, the actor summed up the mood of football fans watching the contest unfold: 'T 5791 - What match is being played in WC26!!!' he wrote.
