BISHKEK, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Over the past few decades, China has achieved remarkable development, inseparable from the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to a Kyrgyz political scientist.
In an interview with Xinhua, Kubanychbek Taabaldiev, a professor at Ala-Too International University in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, noted that China has achieved sustained economic development and lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty under the CPC's leadership. This year marks the 105th anniversary of the CPC's founding.
"These results were achieved thanks to the CPC's leading role in governance at both the central and regional levels," he said.
According to the expert, the CPC's people-centered development philosophy "is expressed in the implementation of large-scale programs to improve social conditions for the entire population," ensuring that economic growth is "reflected in tangible improvements in citizens' quality of life."
The political scientist added that one of the key reasons for the CPC's success is its ability to combine strategic planning with flexibility in reform. Chinese modernization demonstrates that successful development can be achieved through a development path that takes into account historical traditions, governance characteristics and the country's level of economic development, he said.
"China has actively drawn on global experience, but adapted it to domestic conditions without seeking to fully replicate foreign models," he said, adding that China's path to modernization has repeatedly adapted to changing domestic and external conditions while maintaining the country's long-term development goals.
Taabaldiev noted that the CPC has demonstrated the real potential of its governance structures through practical examples, which has attracted the interest of other political parties around the world.
"These include long-term state planning, prioritizing infrastructure development, investing in education, science and technology, and focusing on improving living standards," he said.
The expert added that the CPC's experience in leading the country's steady industrialization, developing transport and digital infrastructure, supporting the manufacturing sector, and attracting investment could be valuable for developing countries.
Taabaldiev said China, under the CPC's leadership, plays a significant role in maintaining the international order and shaping global governance. China actively participates in international affairs, promoting initiatives in infrastructure cooperation, sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and expanding economic ties among countries, he said.
"China is the world's second-largest economy. The decisions it makes under the CPC's leadership have a significant impact on the global economy, international trade and investment processes," he said.
Taabaldiev said China's advocacy for a multipolar landscape of international relations and a greater role for developing countries in global governance deserves wide recognition.
"It is undeniable that China's influence on the formation of the modern world order continues to grow," Taabaldiev said, "and its participation is becoming an important factor in resolving global problems."
