MOSCOW, Russia: A warehouse belonging to Russia's major online retailer Wildberries caught fire in the Leningrad region near St. Petersburg after a Ukrainian drone attack, regional governor Alexander Drozdenko said on Friday.

He reported that three people were injured. Wildberries said it had stopped operations at two of its logistics centers in the region. The company also said that workers at its warehouse in Crimea had been evacuated.

Video footage from the scene showed two large columns of black smoke rising into the air. Since July 18, five Wildberries warehouses—about 10 percent of the company's logistics capacity—have been attacked.

Wildberries said that none of its goods were damaged in the latest attack. Earlier, on July 18, attacks on logistics hubs in the cities of Kotovsk and Elektrostal killed eight people.

Officials in Kyiv said the company is part of infrastructure that supports the Russian military. Russia denied this and said the company, which plays a major role in the country's consumer economy, does not handle military supplies.

Along with smaller competitors and its main rival Ozon, Wildberries sells goods and services equal to about 8.5 percent of Russia's total economic output and employs around four million people, which is more than five percent of the national workforce.

On July 23, Russia said its forces carried out overnight strikes on three Ukrainian ports, targeting infrastructure that supports Ukraine's military.

Russia's Defense Ministry said that missiles launched from aircraft and attack drones hit the ports of Odesa, Izmail, and Mykolaiv as part of a broader campaign of heavy attacks.

The ministry said that fuel storage tanks intended for the Ukrainian army were hit in Odesa. It also said that unloading and storage facilities used for military cargo, including sea drones, were struck in Izmail, along with a floating dry dock.

In Mykolaiv, the ministry said its forces hit a cargo ship that was unloading military supplies.

The Geneva-based vegetable oil producer Allseeds said earlier that it was stopping operations in the Odesa region because of increasing Russian attacks on port infrastructure. It became the third company recently to announce such a decision.
