NEW YORK, 31st July, 2026 (WAM) -- US stocks swung between gains and losses during trading on Friday.
The S&P 500 rose 0.4 percent after fluctuating between a 0.7 percent gain and a 0.5 percent decline in morning trading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 221 points, or 0.4 percent, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.6 percent after surrendering nearly all of its earlier gains, which had reached 1.3 percent.
