LYON and Team Liquid won their respective matches Sunday to rise to the top of the standings after two weeks of the League Championship Series Summer Split.

LYON swept Shopify Rebellion 2-0 and Team Liquid did the same to Sentinels to become the only teams to start off the summer tournament with consecutive wins.

The LCS Summer Split is an eight-team event that began July 25 and will run through the finals in October. The seven-week round-robin regular season -- in which all teams play each other once in a best-of-three match -- will set the field for the six-team playoffs.

The top two teams in the regular season will advance to the playoff semifinals, while the third- through sixth-place teams will advance to the quarters. The bottom two teams in the standings are eliminated.

The playoffs, which run Sept. 12 through Oct. 4, are best-of-five and double elimination. The top three teams will advance to the World Championships, played in New York, Los Angeles and Allen, Texas, from Oct. 15 through Nov. 14.

On Sunday, LYON defeated Shopify in 43 minutes on red before cruising to a 25-minute win, also on red. Kim 'Berserker' Min-cheol of South Korea led LYON with a stellar 20-4-12 total kills-deaths-assists ratio.

Team Liquid played on blue both maps as they swept Sentinels in 24 minutes and 32 minutes. American Sean 'Yeon' Sung racked up 17 kills for Liquid and three teammates had 20-plus assists.
