GREEN BAY MarShawn Lloyd scored his first NFL rushing touchdown on a hard-charging 6-yard carry to put the Packers up 14-7 over the Chicago Bears at halftime.
Green Bay won the opening coin toss and deferred. Tyson Bagent and D'Andre Swift connected for a 13-yard screen on second-and-9, but Chicago's opening drive stalled after Devonte Wyatt chased down Bagent for an 11-yard sack on second down.
Starting at their 9, the Packers opened with a flea flicker that led to a 13-yard Tucker Kraft gain on a tight end screen. Jordan Love hit Matthew Golden to convert on third-and-3 before MarShawn Lloyd gained 15 yards on back-to-back carries to the Green Bay 47.
Kraft gained two yards on a third-and-1 sneak to set up Love's 42-yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson off playaction to put the Packers up 7-0 with 5 minutes, 51 seconds left in the first quarter.
The 10-play, 91-yard scoring drive was Green Bay's longest of the season and its longest opening scoring drive since October 23, 2011, at Minnesota.
The Packers immediately got the ball back after Javon Bullard tipped up a Bagent pass on second-and-10 that Xavier McKinney picked off at the Chicago 45.
Lloyd started the Green Bay drive with back-to-back 6-yard carries. Pierre Strong gained eight yards off a checkdown to the Bears' 25 and converted on fourth-and-1 off a shotgun draw.
Green Bay moved into goal-to-go after a 12-yard Golden catch and run to the Chicago 7.
Lloyd ran over Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson on his way to a 6-yard touchdown to put the Packers up 14-0 four seconds into the second quarter. It marked both Green Bay's first rushing TD of the year and the first TD run of Lloyd's career.
Chicago went three-and-out on its next possession and Golden went back for the punt with primary returner Skyy Moore going to the locker room with an ankle injury. The ball was down at the Packers' 20.
Green Bay also went three-and-out after Bo Melton was tackled two yards short of the first down on his third-and-10 catch down the seam. The Bears retook possession at their 22.
Chicago moved the ball into Green Bay territory after a 10-yard Swift cutback run on third-and-4 and an 8-yard pass to Cole Kmet on a stop route.
A 13-yard pass to Luther Burden and a 12-yard Swift run on third-and-1 set up first-and-10 at the Green Bay 15. Chicago faced third-and-8 after a false start penalty with 4:23 left in the first half, which marked the first flag of the game on either team.
Green Bay's four man rush couldn't get to Bagent on the play and Zaire Franklin was flagged for defensive holding. Bagent gained seven yards on a designed run on first down. The first half reached the two-minute warning after Swift was tackled for no gain on second-and-goal.
Bagent missed Odunze high on a third-down slant, but Swift found the end zone on fourth-and-goal to put Chicago on the board, cutting Green Bay's lead to 14-7 with 1:53 left in the first half. The Bears converted three third downs and two fourth downs during the 16-play, 78-yard drive lasted 9:10.
A false start on Jordan Morgan backed Green Bay up to its 16. Quick shots to Bo Melton and Kraft set up third-and-6, but the Packers went three-and-out again after Love and Melton couldn't connect.
The Bears started at their own 10 after a holding call during Daniel Whelan's punt.
Brandon Cisse sacked Bagent for a 6-yard loss on second-and-4 and then broke up an in-breaking route for Odunze to force the three-and-out. Golden returned the punt 17 yards to the Chicago 49 with 39 seconds left.
Love was sacked on first down for a loss of five yards and Green Bay lost another five yards after an illegal substitution. Love was sacked again on second-and-20 to end the half.
