The Arizona Cardinals are planning to turn to backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett for another week as Kyler Murray sits out with his foot injury again, NFL Network reported Saturday.
Murray, 28, has been dealing with a high-foot sprain since he sustained an injury during the Cardinals' Week 5 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans. After practicing just one day before last week's game against the Indianapolis Colts, Murray was limited in practice throughout this week before he was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.
The move may have been anticipated as Brissett was seen practicing with the starters throughout the week.
Brissett kept the Cardinals in the game last week, before ultimately falling 31-27 to the Colts. He finished the game 27-of-44 passing for 320 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The Cardinals and Brissett will shift their focus to the Green Bay Packers this weekend. Brissett will aim to get Arizona its first win over Green Bay since 2018.
