The announcement expands the roster for the highly anticipated event, which will take place at Crypto.com Arena and is being organized in collaboration with the Recording Academy.
Ava Max joins previously announced performers Major Lazer, led by Diplo, and Afrobeats star Davido as part of FIFA's pre-tournament celebrations.

The FIFA Countdown Concert is designed to build excitement in the final days leading up to the tournament and will combine music and football on a global stage.
Organizers have confirmed that fans will be able to attend the event in person at Crypto.com Arena, while audiences worldwide can also watch the concert through a live TikTok broadcast.
The addition of Ava Max further strengthens a lineup that spans multiple genres and international markets, bringing together global pop, electronic dance music and Afrobeats talent.
FIFA said the event reflects its efforts to merge world-class sporting occasions with high-profile musical entertainment as anticipation for the tournament continues to grow.
The concert announcement comes as FIFA continues to unveil entertainment plans surrounding the World Cup.
The governing body recently confirmed that Shakira and Burna Boy will perform 'Dai Dai,' the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Song, during the opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11.
The performance will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise USD 100 million by the end of the tournament to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.
The Mexico City opening ceremony will feature a broader lineup including Alejandro Fernandez, Belinda, Burna Boy, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Angeles Azules, Mana, Shakira and Tyla.
With the FIFA Countdown Concert set for June 10 and the tournament opener following the next day, FIFA is continuing to use music as a key part of its global celebration of football, culture and entertainment ahead of the first whistle of the 2026 World Cup. (ANI)
