New Delhi [India], October 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday (October 25), where he will inaugurate a garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, witness the Indian Air Force's aerial display at Namo Ghat and inaugurate the Reserve Bank of India's Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar, according to a press release.
At around 11 am, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Arvind Limited's new garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, followed by the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat at around 1 pm, where he will attend as the chief guest.
The garment manufacturing facility is expected to strengthen India's textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem and promote industrial growth in the region, the release stated.
Focusing on modern manufacturing practices, the facility will create employment opportunities, particularly for women, and contribute to the region's economic progress. With a global customer base, it will also enable products manufactured in Varanasi to reach international markets, the release added.
The inauguration is expected to highlight Uttar Pradesh's growing role as a destination for industrial investment and manufacturing-led growth, while the predominantly women-led initiative reflects the focus on women-led development.
The Prime Minister will thereafter witness the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat, organised to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force under the theme 'Wings over Ganges'.
The aerial display will feature aircraft, including the Tejas, Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, SU-30MKI and Rafale, along with transport aircraft. Aircraft from the Indian Navy and the Indian Army will also participate, showcasing jointness in operations.
The Indian Air Force's premier display teams, including the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and the Sarang Helicopter Display Team, will participate in the event, demonstrating precision flying, coordination and operational excellence, according to the release.
Thereafter, Modi will travel to Odisha, where he will inaugurate the RBI's Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar at around 4.45 pm and address the gathering.
The newly established facilities are aimed at strengthening the technological foundations of India's financial system by providing a secure, resilient, scalable and future-ready computing ecosystem for the RBI and the broader financial sector, the release stated.
Four state-of-the-art data centres will host mission-critical payment and settlement systems, along with other flagship initiatives. The facility has been certified to the Uptime Institute Tier IV standard, a global benchmark for data centre infrastructure, placing it in the highest tier of operational resilience.
According to the release, the facility is among the largest Tier IV-certified facilities in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector worldwide.
It is expected to improve the reach, efficiency and reliability of digital financial services and provide a secure digital foundation for India's increasingly technology-driven financial economy. It will also strengthen the RBI's position in digital infrastructure among central banks.
The Cybersecurity Training Institute will provide a dedicated platform for cybersecurity and enterprise-technology training, research and capability development across the sector.
The institute will focus on cutting-edge technologies relevant to the BFSI sector, including quantum computing, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, the release added. (ANI)
