The Los Angeles Rams added former New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt to their coaching staff.
Van Pelt will serve as senior offensive assistant on the staff of coach Sean McVay, whose complete staff was announced Monday.
A nine-year backup quarterback with the Buffalo Bills, Van Pelt was the coordinator in New England in 2024 and in Cleveland the four seasons prior. He was not retained by new Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.

He was assistant head coach in 2023, then joined Raheem Morris' staff with the Atlanta Falcons as defensive coordinator. He was fired after his only season in 2024 when the Falcons finished a disappointing 8-9.
McVay's staff also includes the newly hired Scott Huff (tight ends), Ben Kotwica (assistant special teams), Dan Shamash (game-management coordinator, assistant tight ends) and Drew Wilkins (pass-rush coordinator).
