Morning rain and the need to dry the track led to a juggled start time of the IndyCar races set for Sunday at the Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wis.
Pounding rain on Saturday forced the red flag to come out and delayed the completion of the Snap-on Makers and Fixers 250 with 160 laps remaining. That race had been rescheduled for a restart early Sunday but was moved to 6 p.m., with Pato O'Ward holding the lead at the break. Felix Rosenqvist was in second and Alexander Rossi was in third.
The INDY NXT by Firestone race started at 11 a.m. Max Garcia, a 17-year-old high school student in Miami, won his first race on the circuit after starting from the ninth spot.
The marquee event of the weekend -- the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250 -- followed INDY NXT, with Alex Palou in the pole position at the 1.015-mile oval.
