ATLANTA, Georgia: Coca-Cola plans to spend $10 billion on infrastructure in the United States between 2026 and 2030, with the investment covering the company and its bottling partners.
The planned spending includes projects previously announced in California, Colorado, Alabama, New York, and other states, the company said.
Chief Financial Officer John Murphy said the $10 billion represents a system-wide figure rather than Coca-Cola's capital expenditure alone because it includes spending by its bottling partners.
In July, Coca-Cola forecast capital expenditure of about $2.2 billion for the fiscal year.
The company also released findings from an independently commissioned study that said its U.S. system contributed $85 billion to U.S. gross domestic product in one year and supported nearly 1 million jobs.
The Coca-Cola system comprises the company and its bottling partners.
Coca-Cola said the system spent about $37 billion with U.S. suppliers. Together with the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, it also contributed $177 million to community programs.
The study is the second undertaken by Coca-Cola, following the first published in September 2023.
