Stephen Curry had a team-high 31 points, De'Anthony Melton added a season-high 22 and the Golden State Warriors opened an eight-game homestand with a 120-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night in San Francisco.
Giannis Antetokounmpo put up a 34-point, 10-rebound double-double in just 31 minutes, but it wasn't enough for the Bucks to pick up a third straight win.
The Warriors led 53-50 late in the second period before taking advantage of Antetokounmpo's third foul to score 11 consecutive points with the Milwaukee star on the bench en route to a 64-53 lead at the break.
Melton contributed a 3-pointer to the run, his third long-range hoop in four attempts in the half. With Moses Moody also hitting three, the Warriors shot 12-for-25 from beyond the arc in the opening 24 minutes, outscoring the Bucks 36-12 from deep in the process.
Riding 49% shooting overall and 18 3-pointers, Golden State never trailed in the second half in registering a seventh win in its last 10 games.
The 30-point game was the 12th of the season for Curry, who also found time for a team-high-tying seven assists and seven rebounds.
Melton, who hadn't scored more than 16 points or made more than three 3-pointers in a game this season, bombed in 5 of 9 from beyond the arc.
Al Horford came off the bench to contribute eight points, a game-high-tying 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks for the Warriors, while Jimmy Butler III chipped in with 21 points, Draymond Green with 14 to go with seven assists, and Quinten Post 11 points.
Antetokounmpo shot 15-for-22 on a night when the Bucks lost despite hitting 54% of their attempts overall and 44% of their 3-pointers. Milwaukee got just 12 free-throw attempts -- only three more than Butler alone -- and was outscored 14-7 at the line.
Kevin Porter Jr. had 15 points and a game-high nine assists for the Bucks, while Ryan Rollins added 16 points, Myles Turner and Kyle Kuzma 13 apiece, and AJ Green 11.
